We run 6 week courses which will teach young people essential cookery skills to gain confidence in the kitchen. All courses and workshops include tuition, ingredients, packaging and recipe cards as well as the provision of equipment and an apron during the session.

We will deliver cooking sessions for young people who are eating fast food every day, eating unhealthily or are keen to cook but just do not know how. This course will equip young people with basic cooking skills and encourage them to explore affordable healthy nutrition.

Our teachers help learners develop the practical skills to feed themselves as healthily and ethically as their budget allows. Classes also incorporate discussions about reducing waste, eating seasonally, buying local, understanding certifications and how food choices can help tackle diet-related mental and physical ill health. The food prepared will be eaten around a communal table to encourage healthy eating habits.

All our teachers are enhanced DBS checked, First Aid trained, Food Hygiene trained and Child Protection trained.
